PARASITE

                    I know I can be a huge tall tree with deep roots down
                    But I am a parasite

                    As I am taught to be and made to learn and lean on 

 

                    I know my happiness is in my passion
                    But I am a parasite

                    As I am taught to work only to earn.

 

                    I know I can reach the sky with my dreams alone
                    But I am a parasite

                    As I am taught to not to have dreams of my own

 

                    I know I can find my peace within
                    But I am a parasite

                    As I am taught to search it out and dig in. 

 

                    I know I can have a choice to be queen
                    But I am a parasite

                    As I am taught live with a choice of someone.
